Sant’Eustachio was founded in 1938 and its interiors still convey the feeling of being in the 1940s. The quality of the espresso clearly benefits from more than 70 years of brewing experience.
The coffee beans are toasted by Sant’Eustachio and the scent of coffee permeates the main room, despite a constantly open entrance door. The espresso is dense and lightly bitter. Every sip contains a mix of coffee and foam. The thick foam is what really differentiates this coffee, giving it a boost of quality and taste
The foam is created by pouring in the cup a special creamy sauce – made of sugar and dark coffee – before brewing the espresso. When you get the Gran Caffè, just taste it as it is served and don’t add any sugar: the foam is more than enough to satisfy your sweet cravings.
